Method

Use an HTTPS GET request with no additional headers*, the Vehicle Registration Number (VRN) should be added to the end of the URL.
*Commercial use requires an authentication header.

Authentication

No authentication needed for testing or personal use. Commercial use requires registration first.

Passing Data

Provide the Vehicle Registration Number (VRN) only at the end of the URL string as shown above. Do not include spaces. The VRN can be upper or lower case.

Response

Responses are JSON formatted. If the Vehicle Registration Number (VRN) belongs to a fully electric vehicle the response will include "isEV": true

Errors

Errors will be reported with a meaningful message such as "error":"Vehicle Not Found" or "error":"Invalid VRN Format"

Rate Limits

Rate limiting is in place to protect our service. Should you encounter the rate limit, the service will respond with "error":"Service Busy"
